Delete Your CredSettle Account

If you wish to delete your account and associated personal data, you can do so using the following methods. Please note that account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Option 1: In-App Deletion Request

You can initiate an immediate deletion request directly within the CredSettle Android or iOS mobile application by following these quick steps:

Open the CredSettle application on your mobile device and log in to your account.
Tap on the Profile avatar located at the top-left corner of the dashboard.
Navigate to the Account Settings and Security section.
Scroll down to the bottom and select "Delete My Account & Personal Data".
Read the confirmation prompt, verify with OTP if prompted, and confirm your request.

Option 2: Formal Request via Email

If you are unable to access the mobile application or prefer submitting a formal written request, you can contact our dedicated Data Protection and Grievance Team directly:

Send an email to: info@credsettle.com with the subject line "Request for CredSettle Account and Data Deletion".
Provide your registered full name, registered mobile phone number, and registered email address.
State clearly if you have any active loan settlement agreements or if all your previous legal disputes are resolved.
Our compliance team will acknowledge your request within 24–48 business hours.

Data Deletion Scope & What Happens to Your Data

Upon confirmation and identity verification, CredSettle takes immediate action on your profile according to India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023:

Personal Identification Information (PII) including your profile photo, residential address, contact number, and personal email will be permanently wiped from active servers.
Uploaded financial documents (such as bank statements, income proof, and settlement proposals) will be securely purged from operational cloud storage.
Active login sessions, auth tokens, device identifiers, and notification push credentials will be permanently invalidated.
You will cease to receive automated newsletters, promotional updates, and case status communications.

Regulatory Data Retention Obligations

Please note that as a legal advisory and financial resolution service provider, certain historical records must be maintained in accordance with Indian statutory and regulatory laws:

Accounting, taxation, and billing invoice records must be maintained for the mandatory statutory period under the Income Tax Act and GST regulations.
Formal legal notices, settlement agreements, and No Due Certificates (NDCs) executed between you and banking institutions may be archived in encrypted offline cold storage for auditing compliance.
Audit trails regarding borrower consent and terms acceptance are retained as required by the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Verification and Processing Timeline

Your account deletion request undergoes a structured verification process to safeguard you from unauthorized account termination:

Initial verification is conducted within 48 hours of submission to prevent fraud or accidental deletion.
Once verified, complete data deletion across active database instances is executed within 7 to 14 business days.
A final formal confirmation email will be delivered to your registered email address verifying that the account and all associated personal data have been purged.
